Charles Leclerc won the British Grand Prix without the fastest car in it. Kimi Antonelli took pole on a 1m 28.111s, won Saturday's sprint by 2.745 seconds, and had led into the final third when a left-front wheel shield failed on Lap 41; a five-second penalty followed, and the quickest car of the weekend was classified sixteenth. Leclerc, second on the grid, cleared Antonelli at the start and led every green lap, then held on when Verstappen crashed out of third at Stowe and the race ended behind the safety car. It is Leclerc's first win since 2024 and Ferrari's second of the season, and it cuts Antonelli's title lead from 43 points to 25 over George Russell, who stayed out under the caution to take second ahead of Lewis Hamilton.

At the same circuit, Nikola Tsolov completed the Silverstone F2 double to become the first driver to win three races in a row, stretching his lead over Gabriele Mini to 17 points from level a weekend earlier. And the Formula E title flipped twice in one Shanghai double-header: Pascal Wehrlein won a wet Race 1 from pole for his tenth series win, yet Mitch Evans held the lead by three, then Evans failed to start Race 2 with a garage problem and di Grassi won it from eighteenth for Lola Yamaha Abt's first victory, the 41-year-old the oldest race winner the series has had. Wehrlein leaves China nine points clear.
