Pascal Wehrlein finished fourteenth in London on Sunday and won the Formula E title anyway. He and Jake Dennis touched at Turn 17 on lap 31, three laps from a championship Dennis had spent the afternoon climbing into, and both ended the day outside the points. The margin never moved: 169 to 164, the same five points Wehrlein carried in. Dennis’s own team recorded the sanction, a five-second penalty converted to a three-place grid drop at the next race, which is now December and a different rulebook.

Taylor Barnard won the race, his first, in DS Automobiles’ last start in the championship, taking Nyck de Vries at the final corner with two laps left. Mahindra locked out the front row for the first time in its history and kept both remaining podium places. Mitch Evans came fourth in his last drive for Jaguar after ten years and leaves as the most successful driver Formula E has had, on sixteen wins, while Jaguar took the teams’ title on 288 points. Six entries below: four more from that weekend, then Cadillac’s pit wall, which changed hands eleven rounds into a season it has yet to score in.
