KTM had not won a MotoGP race since 2022. It ended that on Sunday at its home circuit, where Pedro Acosta took his first grand prix win. He led from lap 9 to the flag and crossed 1.017 seconds ahead of Jorge Martin, who had won Saturday's sprint from pole. Acosta is the third KTM rider to win a MotoGP race at Spielberg, after Miguel Oliveira in 2020 and Brad Binder in 2021.

At Indianapolis, the No. 24 BMW of Dries Vanthoor and Sheldon van der Linde led the last six laps of 112 and finished 2.926 seconds ahead of the No. 31 Cadillac. Two of the four IMSA class points leads changed hands. One round is left, Petit Le Mans at Road Atlanta on 3 October.

Paddock Notes
“Overall, I’d say a successful weekend here in Red Bull Ring and I’m happy to have got my best finish of the year. I would have liked to have been a bit further up the grid but I did my best. Happy with the pace we were able to put together and happy with the work by the team. Well done to them, and also to Pedro on his first victory; I’m sure it’s the first of many.”
Brad Binder, sixth at the Red Bull Ring, to KTM after the Austrian Grand Prix (2026)
