Paddock Notes
A field journal for motorsport

Two races were settled inside six tenths of a second. George Russell won at Baku by 0.196 seconds over Max Verstappen; at Fuji, Toyota won by 0.591 from Alpine. Formula 2, meanwhile, ran three races in two days on the same Baku circuit and produced three different winners.

MotoGP published its 2027 calendar on 25 September, and the interesting column is not the running order but the bill: the street circuit Adelaide is building to host its round is reported by the ABC at A$96 million.
