Corrections
If we get something wrong, we fix it and say so here. This page is the public record.
How corrections work
- A wrong number, name or date is corrected as soon as it is found, against the source that settles it.
- Any change to the meaning of a published piece is a public correction. Nothing changes meaning silently.
- A retraction, withdrawing a piece because its premise was wrong, waits for the editor's decision. A withdrawn page's address is redirected, never left dead.
- Typo, link and formatting fixes that do not change meaning are made without a listing here.
To report an error, write to [email protected] with the page address and what you think is wrong. The rules the system works under are on How this is made.

Newest first. Entries before 6 October 2026 were transcribed from the site's version history; the reference at the end of each entry is that change.

Calendar and WRC ledger: Rally Saudi Arabia
Still listed Rally Saudi Arabia as the WRC's final round, with a title-deciding marker, after the FIA and WRC Promoter removed its world championship status on 17 September. The rally runs on 12 to 15 November as an FIA Middle East Rally Championship round; the WRC season ended at Rally Italia Sardegna. The event is off the calendar and ledger, and its old ledger address now leads to our explainer.

The upcoming F1 cards also carried round numbers from before the Bahrain Grand Prix moved to Sepang as round 16, and now run 18 to 23.

The Bagnaia front-end signature, twice in two rounds and what it says about the GP26
Described Francesco Bagnaia's Spanish Grand Prix at Jerez as a front-end crash. He retired from ninth just after half distance with what was reported as a brake problem; only Le Mans ended in a crash, which he attributed to the same problem. On 8 October the same piece's count of Sunday retirements was also corrected, from four in five Grands Prix to three (Brazil, Jerez, Le Mans), with Jerez and Le Mans two weeks apart rather than back to back.

The blue flags failed at Hungary, and the race rearranged itself around the missing information
Placed Max Verstappen fifth in the standings on 128 points (Lando Norris's total; Verstappen was sixth on 109), and gave the stewards' reason for reducing Carlos Sainz's penalty wrongly. Corrected against FIA Document 54, with the Piastri quote matched to three independent transcriptions. A dated correction note is on the article.

Withdrawn piece:
2026-tsolov-f2-unaffiliated-leader. Its address now leads to Twenty-two points across the top five: F2's tightest title race since 2022 is also its rookie-density season, and Montreal sets the 2027 F1 reserve-seat market.Withdrawn. The piece argued that Nikola Tsolov led Formula 2 as an unaffiliated driver; he is a member of the Red Bull Junior Team, and the argument could not be corrected without becoming a different article. A withdrawal notice replaced it; since 26 September 2026 the address redirects to the F2 piece that carries the corrected facts (change 8d7e734).
